Psychic Picnic is a blog, reviews site, record shop, music label, radio station and merch store based in equatorial Sussex. We also do a bit of taxi driving on the side.
We’re not the plaything of flop haired aristocrats, or a hobby-job for bug eyed ex-public school boys with skinheads and bomber jackets. We are old enough to not be doing this at our stage of life. Meet Mr Pipe and Senor Slippers.
Whilst we’re specialists in Indie Pop, we’d go for soul, jazz, hip hop, all EDM, folk and classical too. Basically we’ll listen to anyone from Tom Bailey (Thompson Twins), Philip Bailey (Earth, Wind and Fire) to Derek Bailey (avant-atonal freer-than-free jazz sometimes recorded in a shed on an acoustic guitar).
